About the Buyers
Jaya Grocer is a Malaysian-based high-end supermarket chain that specialises in premium grocery products and high-quality fresh and organic produce. Founded in 2007, they currently have over 36 stores located throughout Malaysia, including in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, Johor, and Negeri Sembilan. They are well-known for their selection of local and imported products, excellent customer service, and commitment to sustainability and community outreach.
Jagota, established in Thailand in 1997, is a significant distributor serving customers of all sizes across the country via retail and foodservice channels. With logistical infrastructures in Phuket and Samui, Jagota can fully cater to customers in those regions as well. With its trendsetting and customised food solutions, Jagota is well-known for being one of the most innovative and creative food companies in Thailand. Jagota presently represents a multitude of brands across various product categories, including dairy, meat, seafood, snacks, and groceries.
Export Connect’s Market Development Director, Howard Hurwitz along with the buyers, will deliver a free Malaysia & Thailand Market Insights Presentation in Sydney and Adelaide that will include up-to-the-minute trends for food and beverage businesses interested in the Malaysian and Thailand markets. This will be followed by a Q&A panel session with the key buyers and an opportunity to network with the buyers, other food and beverage businesses and stakeholders in the room.
Food and beverage businesses will also have the opportunity to express an interest to have a one-on-one appointment with one or both of the visiting buyers on this inbound buyer mission. The buyers will review all expressions of interest and we will arrange a one-on-one appointment with the suppliers that they would like to meet.
