Interested in exporting to the Middle East and want the latest food and agribusiness trends and market insights? Or maybe you’re already exporting to the region and want to develop & grow your export business. Perhaps you’ll be visiting Gulfood’20 or have secured space with FIAL as an exhibitor and want to be prepared for the largest annual food trade show in the world with over 100,000 attendees.

Food Innovation Australia Ltd will facilitate a series of region-specific workshops starting with “How to be export ready for the Middle east”.

By 2020 it’s estimated that the UAE will spend US16.7 billion on food products, with imports representing 70% of the region’s food requirements. Food and agriculture exports from Australia already total A$3.9billion annually and the UAE forms a gateway for re-export across the region.

The workshop will provide:

  • Why UAE? Opportunities and challenges
  • Economic profile
  • Market & channel overview and trends
  • Consumer profiles
  • Trending F&B categories
  • Market access requirements
  • Halal Certification
  • Gulfood’20 & Expo 2020
  • UAE in the future
  • Steps to expand into the Middle East

We’ll share category opportunities gleaned from UAE distributors, retailers and suppliers; insights from key in-market representatives; and case studies from Australian food businesses successfully exporting to the UAE.

This workshop is a collaboration between FIAL, state government agencies, Austrade and Export Connect.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Anyone who is interested in exporting their food and beverage products to the United Arab Emirates, or using the UAE as a gateway to other markets.
